Bethany Christian School’s 5th Grade Band program is the capstone course in our Elementary Music program, and incorporates a performance-centered approach, while expanding upon the previously=learned musical concepts, as well as music theory, music history and ear training. In consultation with the Band Director, each student chooses an instrument (flute, clarinet, alto saxophone, trumpet, trombone, snare drum, or bells). Full-band rehearsals occur twice per week as well as instrument-specific instruction several times per month. All classes and sectional rehearsals occur in our new Fine Arts building. 5th Grade Band has two performance opportunities, at our Christmas and spring concerts.
