Admissions Policy
As the purpose of Bethany Christian School is to establish and maintain an atmosphere which will encourage personal faith in Christ and the building of Christian character, the criteria for student admission shall be designed to foster Christ-like attitudes and behavior.
At least one custodial parent/guardian must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, be able to give a testimony and demonstrate their full agreement with the BCS Statement of Faith by signing the Parent Commitment form without any reservation.
Any type of testing or any other criteria for admissions and placement is designed such that each student is able to function successfully within the school environment.
The school administrator, along with the assistant principal, has full authority to develop procedures that adhere to this policy. The procedures shall include a methodology and reporting that reflect the degree of success of the admissions procedures, adjustment of new families to the school, and evidence that the school is meeting the needs of students.
Any appeal of an admissions decision may be directed in writing to the administrator, addressed to the Parent/Student Relation Committee. That committee, along with the administrator and/or, assistant principal, will review the written document and act accordingly. This may include a joint meeting with the family, committee members and administration. This committee, along with the school administration, has full and complete decision authority.
Bethany Christian School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, nationality, or ethnic origin.
