Financial Assistance Guidelines
Several financial aid options are available. Families are responsible for submitting their own paperwork and records within the designated deadlines. BCS does not have merit scholarships. Assistance is based upon financial need.
All families wishing to apply for financial aid must complete the following steps:
- Completed BCS enrollment process for the 2010-2011 school year by February 15, 2010 including payment of tuition deposit and submission or updates of all paperwork, AND
- Submit a completed application with all required information to the Arizona Christian School Tuition Organization (www.acsto.com) by February 15, 2010, AND
- Submit the Family Financial Needs Assessment (FFNA) Application for Financial Aid. This may be done via their website at www.ffna1.com. The FFNA application must be received, with the applicable fee, at FFNA by February 15, 2010. Application fees are non-refundable. The applications will be reviewed and a recommendation to BCS will be made as to whether you qualify for financial aid and the amount of that assistance. PLEASE NOTE: The BCS FFNA School I.D. number is 2506. You will be notified of any financial assistance awarded by the end of April (for spring distribution) or August (for summer distribution).
BCS financial aid is not intended to fully fund a student’s tuition.
Maximum aid available is 50% of tuition.
There are many qualifying factors considered by Family Financial Needs Assessment in the recommendation of financial aid for students. You may also be pro-active in acquiring financial assistance for your children by utilizing the Arizona Private School Tuition Tax Credit (APSTTC), which allows donors to make contributions recommending your children. You may not recommend your own child, but others may. The Tuition Tax Credit allows $500 donations by single people and $1000 donations by married couples. Visit www.acsto.com for further details.
We also encourage our families to enroll and participate in T.R.I.P (Tuition Reduction Incentive Program). There are hundreds of participating vendors to choose from and each purchase generates a direct credit back to your school account.
Please inquire at the school finance office for further information and brochures regarding the Tuition Tax Credit or T.R.I.P.
