Before and after school care is available for all enrolled BCS students in grades 1-8. Students may be signed in as early as 7 AM in the morning. After dismissal from the regular school day, extended care is available until 6 PM. The extended care program is regulated by the Arizona Department of Health Service, Office of Child Care Licensure.
Although the extended care program is less structured than the regular school day, there is a set schedule that he students follow. Specific time is planned for indoor and outdoor play, homework, crafts, snacks, and various activity centers. The extended care program does not take campus field trips or provide transportation.
All staff members are screened, fingerprinted and profess a faith in Christ. A staff member with current training in first aid and CPR is present at all times. In addition, staff receives twelve of more in-service hours per year in accordance with state laws.
